Hero Award Guidelines
Oversight: HEROES, Inc
Introduction: The Spirit of Caldwell Hero Award is intended to recognize the service of an outstanding Caldwell Parish resident who have made significant contributions to our community.
Presentation: The award is presented during the Spirit of Caldwell Black History program.
Nomination: Award candidates must be nominated by a person who currently resides in Caldwell parish. Nominations must include the name, address, and contact information of the nominee and a one page essay describing why an individual should be considered for this award. Please note that this award can recognize living or deceased individuals who should be recognized.
Recommendation: After a candidate has been accepted, nominees must present two letters of recommendation from a reputable reference (supervisor, clergy, elected official).
Criteria:
Profession: The Hero Award is intended to honor the achievement and service of the recipient from a variety of professional fields.
Influence: The influence that an individual has through are priority considerations for this award. Generally, candidates will have demonstrated the ability to influence society, having reflected values of academic excellence and community investment.
Character/Reputation: Candidates for the award possess a reputation for godly character. Achievement: The achievements of individuals are given careful attention, especially in the areas of volunteerism and community work. Candidates must not have a felonious criminal record.
Deadline: NOMINATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THANKSGIVING DAY.
